Early Furniture by George Nakashima, 1936-1956: The Architect Designs

Look forward to our groundbreaking exhibition: the first to focus exclusively on George Nakashima's early years and works that were the basis for his artistic development. This promises to be a major contribution to understanding Nakashima's work and includes important loans from museums and private collections - as well as many works for sale.

12th Annual SOFA New York 2009
Long heralded as the nation’s premier fair for outstanding contemporary decorative arts and design, the 12th International Sculpture Objects & Functional Art Fair in New York City is slated for April 16-19, 2009 at the Park Avenue Armory, moving from its former Memorial Day weekend dates. The opening night preview will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2009.
Over 60 dealers will be exhibiting the best that there is We will be bringing a great collection George Nakashima, Wharton Esherick, Wendell Castle, David Ebner, Peter Voulkos, Ed Moulthrop and much more.
