Moderne Gallery’s exhibit at Design Miami/Paris will present historic furniture and metalwork, as well as historic and contemporary ceramics from the American Studio Movement. The dominant focus will be on rare and important furniture and lighting by George Nakashima made from 1936-1990.
At this year’s Design Miami/, Moderne Gallery will present an exhibition devoted to historic designs from the 20th century in conversation with contemporary works from the 21st century. A major focus will center around the significant works of George Nakashima.

Moderne Gallery is excited to announce its participation in the 2024 edition of The Philadelphia Show. This year’s presentation will showcase the remarkable works of Pennsylvania artists and designers, offering a glimpse into the region’s rich and prolific history. The exhibition’s primary focus will center on the legacies of Wharton Esherick, George Nakashima, Daniel Jackson, William Daley, Rudy Staffel, Emil Milan and others, while also featuring the contemporary talents of Ashley Joseph Martin, Caprice Pierucci, Eric Allen, Fabien Dubrunfaut, Miriam Carpenter, Michael Brolly, Mira Nakashima and David Ellsworth.
Take a Seat. Moderne Gallery April 27 – May 31 2024
With his recent series, Fabien Dubrunfaut takes his drawings from concept to completion, with a special focus on seating. Dubrunfaut’s furniture is made from carefully selected American hardwoods, featuring strong and precise exposed joinery. His work is sculptural and exceptionally comfortable.
