Back to 1920-1980 Design / Mirrors

Extremely Rare & Unique Iron Console & Mirror by Paul Kiss, c. 1925

49 5/8" wide x 14" deep x 92 1/4" high

Hand-wrought iron, marble and mirrored glass - all original. Important console and mirror from one of the true masters of French ironwork, Paul Kiss. Originally shown and purchased at a French Modern exhibit at Wanamakers in Philadelphia in the late 1920's, it remained in an apartment above a pharmacy in the Frankford section of Philadelphia until acquired by Moderne Gallery. Signed "P.KISS/PARIS/MADE IN FRANCE." Kiss' work is rarely signed, except when pieces were made for exhibition.
