Early Sideboard by George Nakashima, 1946-7

Cherry cabinet with walnut doors | At the time of its design, George referred to this style as "Chest with Sliding Trays". Later, he modified the panel construction of the sliding doors. This design features details that are consistently found throughout Nakashima casework.
