Back to George Nakashima / Armchairs
Long Chair with Free-Form Arm by George Nakashima, 1952
30h x 34w x 66d in
An iconic modernist design and one of the most desirable pieces made by George Nakashima. This is a very important and early example. Only the 8th Long Chair with Free-Form Arm ever made and that still incorporated the sea-grass woven through the back, which was discontinued after 1954. Cherry, cotton webbing, sea-grass, 1952
