Vessel 1-3.8 by Estelle Halper, c.1970
8h x 6w x 6d in
Halper worked with stoneware clay, while sculptural works were made of stoneware with grog. All were fired to cone 10 in an electric kiln. This is an excellent example of her more traditional stoneware forms with a volcanic glaze, using formulas that she developed herself.
